When I was offered to photograph Talia and Jamie’s wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, I jumped at the opportunity! The chance to do a destination wedding is a dream come true, and I couldn’t have gotten a better couple to do it for. Jamie and Talia were relaxed, cool, in high spirits and so much fun to photograph. Their personalities interweave so well you’d think they had been married for many years already, and the love that is present between Talia, Jamie and Diego is very inspiring.
The day started out with a taxi ride with the girls to get their hair and makeup done. The day before, there had been a fantastic dinner party, where both the Irish and the Mexicans set the bar pretty high for the festivities to come!
The wedding took place at a beautiful house on the beach, with amazing decorations done by Odette Molinar, and I was very impressed by the way the beach had been set for the wedding ceremony.
Jamie arrived with his groomsmen and groomslady and after taking in the scenery, started getting ready. The group did their best to keep the mood light and have fun, and Jamie was doing his best to keep from getting too nervous!
One of my favorite parts of this day was when Diego played a bit of cat and mouse with Jamie. The moment was a reminder that Jamie was not just gaining a beautiful wife, but a wonderful son as well, and that even if he was a bit nervous before the ceremony, he was more than ready to be a family man.
By now, Talia, her bridesmaids, and bridesman had arrived and begun getting ready for the wedding as well, and she looked absolutely stunning in that wedding dress!
Once guests arrived and were seated down, it was time to begin!
The ceremony was fantastic, and after a few photographs with the bridal party, it was time to sit down and eat while friends and family gave toasts about the happy newlyweds! I particularly enjoyed Jamie’s father’s speech, as he said some wonderful things that made all the guests very emotional.
Of course, everyone came here to party, and with the combination of people at the wedding, this event went on into the early morning!
The wedding was phenomenal, full of love, lots of happiness and wonderful people who were there to congratulate Talia and Jamie on being so lucky to have found each other.
There was a ceremony that they had planned to do, where two fire lanterns were supposed to go up in the sky. This failed wholeheartedly, but it was Jamie’s words that made the moment perfect: “Well Talia! We fail together, and we succeed together”. And that is what marriage is all about.
Congratulations to Talia and Jamie! I wish you all the happiness and joy on this great new adventure! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of such a special day!
I’m all over the internet, so come check me out!
